Samuel Chandler, pastor of the Scotland (York County) Church, made the following entry in his diary: 1746 Feb, 10 I visited the sick -- went up to Mr. Kilgore's to John Wittims -- he say he likes the Quakers best of any -- thinks that way is the Best.
