Dear Family,
I hope this note finds you all well. I just wanted to remind you of the date for the annual Witham Family Reunion. It will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013, at the Lion's Club in Franklin, IL. We will begin at noon with a potluck style meal. Please bring a dish or two to share, your own drinks and table service, any pictures and stories as well. The doors will be open around 11:30am for those who would like to arrive early. The Lion's Club is air conditioned and does have a wheel chair ramp for accessibility. There is a park across the street for the kids and shade trees in the yard next door. Bring any games, indoor and outdoor that you would like and don't forget your camera! If I've left anyone off of this please let me know their address and I'll include them or feel free to forward it onto them. I hope many of you will be able to attend. It is not necessary to RSVP but feel free to drop me a line and let me know. I'd love to hear from you either way! Unfortunately, we only see each other and catch up on sad occasions these days. This is a time to celebrate our family: to remember our past, live in our present and look forward to our future!
Love,
Mary Beth Doolin Kruzan
Was curious is this blog for a particular Witham family or is it for ALL Witham and Witham descendants?
ReplyDeleteI am stuck on my Witham family (pair of 3rd Great Grandparents) from Portland, ME (1800s)
Thank you for commenting. This blog is for anyone and everyone who is interested - Withams, Witham descendants, or those who are just curious about the Withams. You are more than welcome to post the issue you are stuck on and perhaps someone with an answer will see it and respond. Welcome to the site!
ReplyDeleteAwesome :) Thanks Mike :)
ReplyDeleteMy Great Great Grandmother was Caroline "Carrie" T. Witham (1847 Portland, ME-1899 Waterville, ME) daughter of John Benjamin Witham (1810-1853) & Ann Pauline Akers (1818-) both of Maine. John and Ann had 9 children. A fellow Witham researcher believes my John was the son of Obadiah Witham (from Gloucester, MA; 1765-before 1846) & Mrs. Judith LeBarron (Maiden name unkn).
She has given me that line all the way up to Thomas Witham.
I have a picture of Carrie's brother John Benjamin Witham JR who served for the state of Maine during the Civil War.
Thank you for posting that. I hope someone sees it and responds to it and you are able to make a connection! :)
ReplyDeleteI forwarded Warren some pics and news articles and info about my line, was going to send it to you, in case you wanted to post it, but you don't have an email option on your Blogger profile :)
